What is the Kolpin Family Pavilion?

The Kolpin Family Pavilion is a community event space in Carthage, Missouri, and the home of the Root 66 Carthage Farmers Market. Named in honor of the beloved Ruth Kolpin and the Kolpin family, the pavilion celebrates a legacy of community involvement and generosity that has made a lasting impact in Carthage. Today, it serves as a gathering place for markets, events, and community activities.

Home of the Root 66
Carthage Farmers Market

The Root 66 Carthage Farmers Market, hosted at the Kolpin Family Pavilion, is operated by the HERE4 CARTHAGE organization. The market brings local farmers, food producers, and artisans together while giving our community access to fresh, locally grown foods. Access to nutritious food plays an important role in overall health, which aligns with the mission of the McCune-Brooks Healthcare Foundation to build a healthier community.

PROJECTS

Why This Matters

Support Local

A permanent pavilion provides a reliable, weather-protected space, helping the Farmer's Market be successful no matter the weather.

Community Space

This space can also be used for community events and celebrations. Community spaces bring people together and provide opportunities for connection.

Fresh Food

A dedicated market space means more opportunities for families to buy fresh, locally grown produce and local items - building a healthier community.

Beautification

A thoughtfully designed pavilion enhances our downtown area which creates a welcoming and attractive destination for locals and visitors alike.

We Need Your Help

The Kolpin Family Pavilion is complete, thanks to the generosity of our community. We’ve raised over $1 million, and additional support is still needed to help pay off remaining project costs. Commemorative bricks are still available - contact us by email or phone to get yours.
